Escapade Music Festival is an annual festival that takes place during Canada’s birthday on July 1st. Canada Day in the Nation’s Capital Region is the biggest event during any period and in any city across our great Nation with over one million (1,000,000) tourists joining the million residents of the National Capital Region (NCR) to celebrate our fair Country in the downtown streets. There was a yearning for an event that would cater to partygoers aged 19—35 years old, A-List Entertainment, Marquis Group & Projekt Events created Escapade to fill this void.Escapade Music Festival is the first festival of its kind in the NCR. It’s a festival dedicated to the development of the electronic music scene movement and demographic in the greater Ottawa area. Escapade Music Festival’s goals are to produce a festival during Canada Day that is unrivalled in the country by combining the following items; most sought after international talent, best and most accomplished local talent, over the top production, great service, amazing ambiance and most of all, an experience that will excite all your senses whether it be visually, auditory or by touch by creating different “WOW” factors that will keep every person in the audience wanting more.
Escapade Music Festival made its debut in 2010 with over three thousand (3,000) people attending the then smaller scale inaugural event that featured awe inspiring visuals, thumping sound and a backdrop of Parliament Hill fireworks while Canadian born superstar, Grammy winning DJ and producer Deadmau5 delivered the first ever concert of its kind in Ottawa to a crowd aghast by the spectacle.
Escapade Music Festival came even stronger in its second year of inception with a headliner that needs no introduction. An artist that had never performed in Ottawa and that is known as the biggest DJ in the world performed his first ever concert in the NCR on Canada Day 2011. In addition to having the pleasure to be entertained by TIËSTO, patrons had the chance to see two (2) other international acts in Laidback Luke and Calvin Harris (also his first time in Ottawa) as well as six (6) local and national DJ’s.
